About Tyne Design Week
Design is a powerful tool for developing solutions to the complex challenges we face. As North East England’s design ecosystem grows, with the support of cultural and creative initiatives across the region, design practitioners are actively contributing to the development of a more equitable, resilient and inclusive place.
Tyne Design Week is inspired by the belief that collaboration is at the heart of great design. We’re creating opportunities for people to develop connections across sectors and industries they might not normally engage with, a platform that not only showcases local talent but also encourages shared knowledge, new ideas and unexpected partnerships that help to build a better tomorrow.

Tyne Design Week is delivered by Edge Innovation, in partnership with the North East Combined Authority, Northumbria University and Newcastle University. We’re working together to position North East England as a globally-recognised region for design excellence and innovation by improving the visibility of the cutting-edge work already being created every day.
