Dr. Jiaxin Zhang

Modelling and Optimisation Engineer, Kinewell Energy

Jiaxin is a Modelling and Optimisation Engineer at Kinewell, where he specialises in the development and implementation of advanced algorithms that drive efficiency and unlock new functionality for clients of Kinewell's offshore wind software suite. His work focuses on creating intelligent software solutions that harness the power of AI and optimisation to solve complex real-world problems.

Jiaxin holds a PhD in granular segregation, where he applied mathematical modelling to understand the movement of soil particles around wind turbine foundations, demonstrating a deep expertise in modelling physical systems from first principles. With strong skills in translating complex systems into data-driven, actionable insights, he brings valuable experience in applying AI and optimisation to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support sustainability objectives.

In this workshop, Jiaxin will share his knowledge and practical insights on how AI and machine learning can be leveraged to address unique business challenges and lower carbon footprints through smart, optimised solutions.
