About the event
Redesigning Infuriating Objects – Product Design Challenge
Delivered by the Internet of Caring Things (IoCT) , a programme from the National Innovation Centre for Ageing, in collaboration with CPI and the North of Tyne Combined Authority. This is your chance to take real-world frustrations, like fiddly packaging, inaccessible interfaces, or unintuitive design and reimagine them as inclusive, joyful, and age-friendly solutions. The processes used in embedding a user-centred approach in product design can be applied in any product development project.
At the core of the challenge is practical, hands-on support to help you develop and deliver your idea. You’ll hear from our resident design expert Adam Cosheril, who will share his approach to product design, key do’s and don’ts, and how our team of specialists can help transform your concept into a working product.
Whether you're refining a prototype or just getting started, this is a chance to access expert input, avoid costly missteps, and accelerate your innovation journey.
Who should take part?
We’re keen to hear from:
Aspiring innovators and entrepreneurs
Product developers and designers
Organisations with new ideas
Especially anyone developing new products or services related to health and wellbeing, Education tech, Net Zero, or sensor technologies.
Join us to co-create the next generation of products; smarter, more inclusive and built to improve lives.
